Bringing hemp history to life through community and public education exhibits and events.
Ms. Fisher is a long time medical cannabis activist and founder of her Traveling Hemp Museum (2010). After learning about the medicinal healing properties of cannabis through her experience with her late husband's battle with ALS, she was determined to educate people on the uses of cannabis and hemp. Through her travels as an activist, working with the California Cannabis and Hemp Initiative, she introduced the concept of her traveling hemp museum. Fisher's collection contains a plethora of artifacts representing the diverse uses of hemp for food, fuel, fiber, textiles and medicine. Amy now uses her Traveling Hemp Museum to educate communities on the benefits of cannabis for medical use, as we'll as historical industrial uses of hemp.
The exhibit includes artifacts dating back to the mid 1700's, as well as textiles, furniture, tools, rope, tincture bottles, documents, books, many unique clothing and linen items, and antique paraphernalia. This unique collection represents the fascinating history of cannabis sativa, then and now.
The Traveling Hemp Museum has exhibited through out the state of California, Nevada and Oregon covering a variety of Hemp and Cannabis Trade Shows, Political Conventions and Schools.
Exhibit size may be tailored to your needs and space requirements. Book at least one week in advance for most events. Long term engagements available. Call to discuss ways we can make your event a fun and educational experience for every one to remember.
